Let me help you discover your true potential.

I'm delighted you're here. I have a deep passion for helping individuals unlock their potential and navigate life's challenges. For the most part of the last decade I've had the privilege of running my Coaching practice right here in Palo Alto, CA, but I also offer services online all over the US and overseas.

My journey to coaching is a unique one, rooted in a diverse professional background and shaped by personal experience. I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain and I earned my medical degree from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in Spain, where I then practiced medicine. My career then took me to the UK to start my pediatrics rotation before I moved to the US in 1998 to join a research project in the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology department at UCSF and later at the Children's Hospital in Oakland. I have also dedicated time to creating and implementing health programs for students and their families within the Palo Alto Unified School District.

However, it was through my personal life that I truly found my calling. With three now adult children who have ADHD, I became intimately familiar with the complexities of IEPs, 504s, and the critical role of Executive Skills. This firsthand experience, combined with my natural inclination to guide adolescents and young adults through significant life transitions, steered my career towards coaching.

To further hone my ability to support my clients, I've pursued comprehensive certifications in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Meditation, Somatic and Life Coaching, and Executive Functioning Skills Coaching. These diverse tools allow me to offer a holistic and tailored approach, empowering you to build resilience, develop essential skills, and achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you.

Why Choose Me?

My approach to coaching is unique, combining a solid medical and educational background with deeply personal experience and specialized training.

  • A Medical Perspective: My medical training provides a foundational understanding of neurodevelopment, including the brain's executive functions, and the neurobiological basis for conditions like ADHD. This allows for a coaching strategy that is both informed and holistic.

  • Deep Personal Empathy: My journey as a parent to three adult children with ADHD has given me firsthand, intimate knowledge of the challenges and triumphs of navigating the educational system (IEPs, 504s) and building essential executive skills. I don't just understand the theory; I've lived the process.

  • Holistic, Evidence-Based Tools: Beyond Executive Function Skills Coaching, my comprehensive certifications in DBT, Meditation, and Somatic Coaching enable me to address the whole person. We work not only on what you need to do (planning, organizing) but also on how to manage the underlying emotional and mental states (stress, regulation) that impact performance.

  • Focus on Autonomy and Resilience: I serve as a consultant, empowering you to own your goals and choose the strategies that fit your life. My mission is to ensure that by tracking small, achievable successes, you build the confidence and resilience necessary to thrive independently long after our coaching sessions are complete.

Here's how I can support you or your loved one at DIFFERENT stageS OF LIFE:

Middle School

This can be a challenging time of transition. I help young individuals develop foundational executive function skills like organization, time management, and task initiation, crucial for academic success. We also focus on stress management, emotional regulation, and building self-confidence as they navigate social dynamics and increased responsibilities.

High School

Academic demands intensify and future plans emerge, I guide high schoolers in refining executive function skills essential for tackling complex assignments, preparing for standardized tests, and managing their increasingly busy schedules. We also explore goal setting, decision-making, and self-discovery, fostering resilience and a sense of direction for college or career.

College

The transition to college brings new levels of independence and academic rigor. I support college students in mastering advanced executive functioning strategies for academic excellence, including effective study habits, project management, and balancing coursework with social life. We also address stress, anxiety, and self-care, promoting mental well-being and a smooth adjustment to university life.

Adults

For adults, life presents unique complexities, whether in career, relationships, or personal growth. I work with adults to enhance executive function skills for greater productivity, organization, and efficiency in their professional and personal lives. Utilizing my background in CBT and Somatic Coaching, we also delve into stress reduction, emotional regulation, and fostering the mind-body connection to achieve a holistic sense of well-being, clarity, and purpose.
